Siro Saracino is an Italian concert pianist and professor of piano at the State Conservatory of Music “Luca Marenzio” in Brescia.
He performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, with a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music.
FULL BIOGRAPHY
Siro Saracino is an Italian concert pianist, composer, and professor of piano. A prizewinner in international competitions from a young age, he began his concert career early and has since performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States.
He studied at the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Nicolini” in Piacenza, where he graduated in 1989 under Giovanna Busatta, a pianist connected to the great European piano tradition through Gino Gorini and Gino Tagliapietra, both direct heirs of Ferruccio Busoni’s artistic legacy.
Saracino has appeared at universities and cultural institutions across the United States, performing and giving masterclasses at institutions including the University of California San Diego, California State University Los Angeles, Santa Clara University, Humboldt State University, the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Arizona State University, the University of New Mexico, Columbia University, Towson University, Kent State University, and others.
Since 1998, Saracino has taught at Italian State Conservatories. From 1998 to 2007 he served as professor at the Conservatorio “Vincenzo Bellini” in Palermo, now the Conservatorio “Alessandro Scarlatti”; since 2007 he has been a tenured professor of piano at the Conservatorio “Luca Marenzio” in Brescia, Darfo Boario Terme branch.
He is regularly invited as a jury member for international piano competitions and has organized masterclasses and concert opportunities for young pianists in Italy and abroad. He has also been a member of MTNA — Music Teachers National Association.
As a chamber musician, Saracino is a member of the Dynamic Piano Duo with pianist Giulia Varga, an ensemble dedicated to piano four-hands repertoire and international concert activity. He also founded Dynamic Piano Duo LLC to support professional concert organization, booking, and administration for international engagements.
Saracino is also active as a composer and author. His works include music for solo piano and piano four-hands, including Ozone, as well as educational piano materials such as Let’s Play Piano Now, written for beginning students.
His recordings include solo piano, chamber music, and projects with the Dynamic Piano Duo. His performances have also been broadcast on radio stations including KBAQ.
